Rochester Energy Corp. is an early stage oil sands company focused on the exploration and development of in-situ bitumen in the Athabasca oil sands region of northeast Alberta.

The company's assets are located in two core areas - Christina and Mackenzie - comprising 32,000 acres at 100% interest.

Rochester's holdings at Christina consist of 32 sections (20,480 acres) of oil sands leases that are adjacent to several in-situ projects in various stages of development, including the Nexen/OPTI Long Lake project and the ConocoPhillips/Total Surmont project.

Rochester's second core area at Mackenzie is comprised of 18 sections (11,520 acres) of land located in close proximity to the Total/Enerplus Joslyn Creek project and Canadian Natural Horizon project.

The company is planning an active 2007/2008 winter drilling program that is expected to include drilling of up to 48 oil sands exploration core holes over its two project areas.

In addition, Rochester has a 12.5% - 25% working interest in the Medicine Lodge natural gas project currently producing approximately 55 boe/d, with an 18.75% working interest in a gas plant closely located to its natural gas production.
